freshky diagnosed and very frightened

Posted in Group:

Just had a colonoscopy done yesterday. The doc removed a 35 cm (yes that's right 35 cm) polyp. He believes it is cancerous but the biopsy results aren't in yet. I am very frightened. 8 years ago I told a doctor I had recital bleeding. He did a cursory exam and told me I had hemroids. I didn't worry because I HAD BEEN TO A DOCTOR. Had he suggested a colonoscopy back then, maybe it was just a polyp back then and could have been removed. Now I am facing so many uncertainties and fears. To make matters worse I have type 2 diabetes and had two stents placed 5 years ago. Am I unlucky or what?

Wondering if you have received biopsy results since your post was on 12-14 and it is now almost a month later.
I also have colon cancer. Took 10 of 12 treatments of chemo but opted not to continue. The last treatment was really hard on me.
I also have Type 2 Diabetes. So I guess we're both really unlucky.
At least it's nice to know there is someone fighting the same battles.
Love to hear from you. I'm new here.
